Brown Crème De Cacao
It most certainly has a potent dark chocolate scent wafting from it as soon as it gets close to your face. Tastes pretty much exactly the same as a few pieces you've broken off a bar of dark chocolate. Pretty good, quite desserty.
The Bar Test
The lovely sweet scent of the brown creme de cacao is gone. Kind of smells more like water than coke though as well. Flavour wise, this is notably fizzy coke with a heavy, punchy dark chocolate taste that definitely dominates the coke flavour. It isn't too bad to dink, not amazing though - I probably would prefer to drink something else.
Brown creme de cacao really shines in cocktails and we'd say that's probably when it should stay shining. It isn't ideal with coke, however it wouldn't be a bad choice of shot. That said, you don't tend to take a shot for the taste usually and this is pretty low on the alcohol content.
Definitely check out some of the cocktails this is used in, in the cocktail corner!
- The alcoholic was most certainly not a fan. Interesting dark chocolate/ice-cream kind of flavour. Not perfectly amalgamated though, making it taste a little odd.
- Literally just Fizzy chocolate. Alcoholic had started associating the smell with bad thoughts by this point. I actually quite liked this one, sweet from the coke, chocolatey from the brown creme de cacao.
- Coke, but instead of a coke taste a chocolate taste. - weirdly mixing again.
Mostly just coke with a dark chocolate feel, more so than a taste.
