Lindenhof Ice 47 Peach Schnapps
From the moment you see it in the bottle to the moment you pour it into a glass, you continue to attribute its appearance to freshly squeezed apple juice. Smells much like a beautifully ripened peach in your hands, just as you sink your teeth into its skin. It is really nice, but if you breath it in too deeply you will notice a bit of an alcohol scent.
It hits you the moment it enters your mouth it hits you in the face, not with alcohol like most drinks, but with pure sugary sweetness. As soon as you adjust to the sweetness overload, you taste nothing other than peach, fresh peach, syrupy peach, similar to something you'd find in a can peach. It is intense and the whole time it is rounded out by a sugary sweetness. It is very nice, the main peachy flavour is incredibly elegant and it is incredibly easy to drink. You could definitely drink this on the rocks or straight all night as if it were just some kind of apple or fruit juice. We only have one suggestion... Try this!
The Bar Test
Now we were expecting the bar test to look like syrupy coke, but what we found was something completely different. The coke became clearer and looked more watery with a soft orange tinge. It looks very refreshing. The scent carries more with the addition of the coke, however it does still smell entirely of peaches, which is lovely and quite appetising. Don't be surprised if you start salivating in anticipation!
From the moment you sip it, until the moment you swallow it and in the aftertaste you get nothing other than a syrupy peach juice flavour. It is amazing and the coke seems to play literally no part in the flavour experience. We highly recommend this if you are drinking peach schnapps for the flavour, because it essentially lowers the outrageously potent sugary hit to a more natural peach fruit level and still just tastes like a sweets syrupy peach juice... You just have a lot more of it! If you don't like peaches or juice, this won't be for you, but it could definitely convert you to loving it if you are curious or on the fence. This literally gives you more peachy goodness to enjoy and we loved it! You are reminded of the coke by the slight fizziness.
Look, this is most probably more of a cocktail addition, but we loved both the shot and try it with coke. So you do you - have it however you like, we seemed to like the with coke version the best since it not only tastes like juice, but also increases how much you get to enjoy! This would also definitely make any cocktail taste amazing though.
- Interestingly takes on the colour of like a brandy, but mostly just smells like peaches. There is a little bit of alcohol to the scent now, which the coke seems to have brought out. Tastes very sugary, a little bubbly and like peaches behind both of the other flavours.
- Looks the same, but the alcohol scent is gone, leaving just a soft peachy smell. Tastes exactly the same as one shot.
- Looks and smells the same. The taste is also mostly the same as the two shot, but less punchy... Not as sweet now though.
- Looks the same, smells watery and funnily enough tastes exactly the same as the three shot variation. Not much to say here really other than the shot test proves the taste doesn't change too much... The bar test is substantially better though, guess that ice makes a big difference.
