Teeling Single Grain Whiskey
Now, as for Teeling's Single Grain Irish Whiskey you'll first notice it has a caramel or vanilla smell to it along with what seems like a fruity undertone. There'll be a bit of an initial burn on the tongue but quickly eases itself into something lovingly smooth. It will hit a sweet peak before you feel another burn as you down it. This single grain has a whopping 46% alcohol content yet succeeds in delivering a delicious taste.
The Bar Test
The single grain keeps some composure after mixing it with coke as it holds most of its smooth texture. It's not as refined as the coke has clearly given it some rough edges. You may be disappointed if you were expecting the coke to create something magical here.
It's a strong but tasty shot and it definitely pumps you up. Keep it straight or have it on the rocks. Adding a bit of water may open up some more flavours for you.
1. Smells bad here but it doesn't taste as bad as you might think.
2. Tastes worse than 1 at this point.
3. Not getting any better. It becomes very sugary with the coke.
4. The whiskey is clearly diluted at this point. Just taste like off coke.
