March 2017

The month of March has finally met its end leaving us another chance to hit y'all with the monthly top 5! This is the most competitive month so far on the voting, with almost all of the drinks a chance to make it, but which one made number 1? Take a walk with us through memory lane as we see what was voted the top five of the month!

Feisty Fifth:

A pleasantly surprising entry into the top five considering its review only came out two days ago, but the majority of votes came from page views! Glenfiddich 15 year old sneaks into fifth place, despite the tough competition!

Fetching Fourth:

Who doesn't love themselves a vanilla coke? I'm guessing some of you even love white chocolate? That's because Vanilla Galliano has graced us in fourth place!

Threatening Third:

The most regal of all the options has hit third the list, straight from Scotland, we have a scotch that was aged for 12 years for its chance at first place. Missing out on first or second place by the smallest of margins, we have Chivas Regal 12 Year Old Whisky!

Seductive Second:

Just missing out on first place by a smidge, dodging third by a millimetre, but gracing our taste buds with the sweetest of cinnamon flavours - we have Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire!

Finally, First:

Someone's been whispering in everyone's ears this month as the sinister Jim Beam Devil's cut shows its predecessor how it's done and sneaks past Tennessee Fire and Chivas Regal for the number one title!

March was the season of gimmicky flavours, but with a sensual vibe as we got green and partied for St. Patrick's Day. The month was dominated by bourbons, liqueurs and scotch with a sprinkle of vodka. We managed to cover a good number of variations on the holy trinity: Jack, Jim & John.  We tasted the first blood of the sweet nectar known as a single malt scotch and a wide range of coffee liqueurs. Much vanilla, some melon and turkey rounds out the list! Make sure to check out the March release of the Cocktail Corner to get a little fancy next weekend!
